Mierzęcin [mjɛˈʐɛnt͡ɕin] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Pawłowiczki, within Kędzierzyn-Koźle County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-west of Pawłowiczki, 17 km (11 mi) west of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, and 42 km (26 mi) south of the regional capital Opole.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
