Michelle Harrison

Michelle Harrison (born 1979, Grays, Essex, England) is a British author, whose debut novel, 13 Treasures won the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize[1] and has been sold for translation in 16 countries. The book is the first part of the trilogy, The 13 Treasures, has been followed by 13 Curses and the last part, 13 Secrets. Her fourth novel, and her first Young-adult_fiction book is Unrest and was released in 2012.
Biography
After studying illustration at Staffordshire University, Michelle Harrison worked as a barmaid, in an art gallery, as a children's bookseller and as an assistant editor for a children's book publisher. She now writes full time and lives in Oxfordshire.
