Michele Specht is an American actress, comedian and voice actress. She is perhaps best known for playing Katie in the VH1 series I Hate My 30's.

Biography

Early life

Specht grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She attended Air Academy High School and later earned degrees in Classical Vocal Music Performance and Theatre at College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University. She interned with the dually Paris/Minneapolis based theater company Theatre de la Jeune Lune, and created and performed original comedy characters and sketches for 8 years in Los Angeles as a member of the sketch group Another Showcase Showdown. With the production company that rose from Another Showcase Showdown, Drama 3/4, she performed in the HBO Aspen Comedy Arts Festival, on the HBO Comedy Workshop stage, and starred as series regular 'Katie' in VH1's only original scripted comedy television show that Drama 3/4 created, produced, wrote and directed, I Hate My 30's.[1]

Career

Television and film

Specht has acted in the films The Last Godfather, Politics of Love, and The Columbian Connection. On television, she has appeared on Disney XD's Kickin It! and the Hallmark Network movie Backyard Wedding. She has appeared in CSI:NY, New Girl, Carpoolers, Becker, and I Hate My 30's. Specht has also had roles in the online series Fallout: Nuka Break, Aperture R&D, and Star Trek Continues.[2]

Voice acting

Specht has voiced characters in several anime series dubbed by Funimation, including Ouran High School Host Club, Tsubasa Chronicle, Claymore, Darker than Black, Linebarrels of Iron, and soon to be released Fractale. Her video game roles include Wang Yi in "Dynasty Warriors 7 (Xtreme Legends)", Corporal Simone Cole in Clive Barker's "Jericho", and as Betty the Personality Core in "Aperture R&D". She can also be heard as the recurring character "Pano" on Cartoon Network's anime series MAR and as Nurse Sandy the giraffe in Dreamworks's animated film Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.
