Michel Leblanc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michel Leblanc is a Canadian "serial entrepreneur" responsible for starting up seven failed airlines in 20 years, including Quebecair, Royal Aviation (sold to Canada 3000 in 2001 and bankrupt soon after) and, the most recent airline to go bankrupt, Jetsgo on March 11, 2005.[1]

Leblanc was best known for his discount air fares that his airlines provided and solicited. Leblanc has had multiple failures within the airliner industry and has been able to bring back new ones--even after an embarrassment--time after time; the reasons why he's able to is undoubtedly for his cheap air fare tickets that his airlines have historically offered. Leblanc's last venture "Jetsgo" ended with a huge humilation to him. Jetsgo had closed its doors due to Bankruptsy just prior to an Easter Holiday weekend leaving 17,000 very furious passengers/customers that had to find last minute means of alternate transportation. The bankruptsy had also reportedly left behind 1,200 employees.[2]
