Michal Lasko (Polish: Michał Łasko) (born 11 March 1981) is an Italian volleyball player of Polish origins. He currently plays as opposite hitter for Italy national team.

Biography

Lasko was born in Poland in Wrocław, and his father Lech Łasko is a former Polish volleyball player - member of Polish gold team from 1976 Summer Olympics. Michal lived in Italy since childhood and started playing for Sisley Treviso youth team. He debuted in Serie A1 in 2001 with Treviso, after moving to Verona where he remained four years, playing in A1 and A2. After a year at Vibo Valentia, he was engaged by BreBanca Lannutti Cuneo in 2006. In 2008, together with Simone Parodi, he moved to Blu Volley Verona.

With Italy, he has won a gold medal in the 2005 Men's European Volleyball Championships, a silver medal at the 2011 Men's European Volleyball Championship and a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Lasko is currently playing for Jastrzębski Węgiel (PlusLiga)
