Michael Edward De Mesa Eigenmann (born May 24, 1960) is a Filipino film and television actor.

Early life

Born Michael Edward De Mesa Eigenmann to performer Eddie Mesa and actress Rosemarie Gil, Michael De Mesa and his siblings Mark Gil and Cherie Gil grew up steeped in the arts. He is uncle of Gabby Eigenmann, Sid Lucero (Tim Eigenmann) and their nieces Andi and Maxene Eigenmann.

Career

Beginning his acting career at age 15 in the 1975 film Araw-araw, gabi-gabi, De Mesa's career has spanned the last four decades and he remains active in film and television.

Personal life

De Mesa wed veteran actress Gina Alajar in 1978. Their marriage lasted 28 years before being annulled in 2006, but bore three children, all of whom are in showbiz: Ryan, Geoff, and AJ Eigenmann. He is of Swiss, Spanish, and Filipino descent.[1][2] After 10 years of being together, he married Hotlegs dancer, Julie Reyes Eigenmann in California, United States in 2011.
