Michael Whitton is an American film director based in Los Angeles, California. His feature directorial debut is the independent romantic comedy film Exit Strategy, released in the U.S. in February 2012[1] and considered by some as one of the most popular comedy feature films released in 2012.[2][3][4] Prior to Exit Strategy, Whitton directed the short film Trumped. He is also credited as editor, writer, sound designer, colorist, and graphic designer on his films.

Whitton's works tend to explore the emotional and physical demands people make on themselves and/or others, and when those demands are not met "the demons set in."[5]
