Rear Admiral Michael Joseph Noonan AM, RAN is the Commander Border Protection Command (CBPC) of the Royal Australian Navy.

Senior command

Noonan was the commissioning commanding officer of HMAS Parramatta and commanded it until 2005. He was awarded the Commendation for Distinguished Service.[1]

Noonan served as the Commodore of Training for the Royal Australian Navy and Director-General of the Headquarters Joint Operations Command under Lieutenant General Ash Power.[citation needed]

Noonan was the Director-of-Sailors, this position saw considerable evolution within Navy's personnel and career management system.[citation needed]
