Michael McIntyre (born 1958) was a Conservative councillor for North Tyneside Council in the United Kingdom.

He stood as the Conservative Party candidate for North Tyneside in the 1997 General Election but lost to the Labour Party candidate, Stephen Byers, by over 25,000 votes.

He also stood as the Conservative Party candidate for Tynemouth in the 2005 General Election but lost to the Labour Party candidate, Alan Campbell, by over 4,000 votes.

McIntyre had been a Councillor for Whitley Bay ward in North Tyneside for 20 years at the time of his defeat at the 2012 North Tyneside local election. He was beaten by Sandra Graham of the Labour Party. He was also Conservative group leader on the Council at the time of his defeat.
