Michael 'Mikey' Drennan is a professional footballer who plays for Carlisle United on loan from Aston Villa. Drennan has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level.

Career

Drennan began his career at the Kilkenny-based youth side, Evergreen F.C. and moved to Aston Villa in 2010.[1] Drennan has been a regular at under-18 and under-21 level for Villa since, including being a key member of the NextGen Series winning side in the 2012–13 season, finishing second in the goalscoring table despite being injured for the latter stages of the tournament.[2] In January 2014 he joined Carlisle United on a one month's youth loan deal and made his debut as a substitute in a 4-2 loss to Colchester United on the 18th of January 2014.[1]
