Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Michael Bauer (24 November 1895 – 15 February 1943) was a highly decorated Oberst in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Michael Bauer suffered a stroke on 3 February 1943 and died on 15 February 1943 in Sclobodka, Russia.
