Merzmorphosis is a box set album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow, it is composed of previously unreleased recordings from 1995–97.[1][2]
The set is a sequel to the ten CD box set Merzphysics (also released by the same label). However, Merzmorphosis focuses on "electro-psychedelic noise" from after the introduction of the EMS synthesizer, and is described as having a resonance with techno. Outtakes from Green Wheels, Pulse Demon, and Space Metalizer are included.[1]
As with Merzbient and Merzphysics, some track titles are taken from identification written on the original cassettes or their brands. CD/Jack and HG-S by Denon; and DJ Disc Jack by TDK.
