Mertensophryne melanopleura is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is found in Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Zambia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, dry savanna, moist savanna, rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, and intermittent freshwater marshes.
