Merivale Mall
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Merivale Mall is a medium-sized shopping centre located on Merivale Road in the south-west of Ottawa, Ontario Managed by Darton Properties. During the 1970s and 1980s, Merivale Mall was anchored by the two story Woolco store at the south end, and by A&P at the north. When Wal-Mart bought Woolco's operations in 1994, the Merivale Mall store was closed as opposed to being converted to a Wal-Mart as some others were. The space is now occupied by SportChek on the first floor, as well as the YMCA on the second level. The space formerly occupied by A&P is now a Farm Boy.
The mall is frequented by High school students at lunch from Merivale High School.
