Mercedes-Benz Fintail
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mercedes Benz Fintail (German: Heckflosse) is a nickname given to several Mercedes vehicles produced from 1959 to 1972, which included tail fins for aerodynamic stability.[citation needed] Though never officially designated as such (they were designated Peilstege, marking the end of the car in rear view mirror). The Fintail series replaced the Ponton series.
