Melissa Mandak

Melissa Mandak is a zumba instructor and former beauty queen who won the title Miss Connecticut USA 2005. She represented Connecticut in the Miss USA 2005 pageant held in Baltimore, Maryland in April 2005.

Early life and education

Mandak was born and raised in Honeoye Falls, New York. She graduated from Honeoye Falls-Lima High School. Mandak graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.[1]

Career

Mandak has been teaching Zumba at the Payne Whitney Gym in New Haven, Connecticut since September 2009.[2]

She appeared as an extra in The Stepford Wives (2004 film). Mandak worked as a traffic and news reporter for Metro Networks in Hartford, Connecticut from 2007 to 2011. On February 9, 2009, she started doing traffic reports for WNYW's Good Day New York. On July 5, 2010, Mandak began reporting the morning traffic for WVIT's News Today, weekday mornings starting at 5am. Mandak served as the weekday morning traffic reporter on NBC Connecticut until 2011.

Personal life

Mandak married Luke Richmond on August 27, 2011 in upstate New York.[3]
