Mayor Melissa Blake

Melissa Blake is a Canadian politician, currently serving as mayor of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Alberta. The region's largest community is Fort McMurray. Wood Buffalo is best known as home to the Athabasca Oil Sands.

Blake was re-elected to her fourth term as mayor in the municipal election of October 2013, with over two-thirds of the vote. Elected first in 1998, Blake served two terms as a municipal councillor prior to running for mayor in 2004.
