Melanie Iglesias (born June 18, 1987 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American model and actress. After being voted Maxim's "Hometown Hotties" winner[1][2] in 2010, she has been featured in magazines such as World's Most Beautiful,[3] Esquire, and Vibe.[4]
Iglesias has appeared in the World Poker Tour series and also acted as herself on all seasons of Guy Code[5] and Girl Code, both of which air on MTV.[6] She also stars in the Guy Code spin off Guy Court.[7]
Biography
Early life
Melanie Iglesias was born on June 18, 1987 in Brooklyn, New York. Iglesias graduated from Tottenville High School on Staten Island in New York City.[8]
Modeling
In 2010 Iglesias was voted Maxim's Hometown Hotties winner,[1][2] and in 2011[9] Maxim placed her on their annual list for the world's most beautiful women, the "Maxim Hot 100."[4] She was also featured on a special edition cover of Maxim USA, which was on stands for 3 consecutive months.[4]
In 2011, she was featured in the premiere issue of World's Most Beautiful, a 3D magazine photographed by celebrity photographer Nick Saglimbeni.[3] She was acknowledged by Esquire Magazine as a "Woman of 2012,"[9] and also won the number two slot in Vibe Magazine's "30 Sexiest Celebrities Under 30."[4]
In July 2012, Iglesias launched the Official Melanie Iglesias Store, which features collector's posters and other merchandise.[10] Iglesias has created two YouTube channels featuring her fashions, which have garnered millions of hits. She is signed with Red Model Management in New York.[9]
Acting
Iglesias appeared as the Royal Flush Girl[2] in 265 episodes of the World Poker Tour. She has appeared as herself on all three seasons of Guy Code,[5] and was then cast in a spin-off show called Girl Code which airs on MTV every Thursday.[6] She is also starring in yet another Guy Code spin off, Guy Court as the bailiff.[7]
She has a YouTube channel known as "What Girls Really Do"[11] that she co-stars in with Lisa Ramos, her best friend and a fellow model.[9]
