Medical News Today is a web-based outlet for medical news, targeted to both physicians and the general public. The site was launched in 2003 and reports monthly readership of 34 million unique visitors.[1] All posted content is available on-line (>240,000 articles as of January 2013) and the earliest available article item is dated from May 2003.

The website is one of the most influential websites for medical news. Google, Yahoo!, and MSN rank the website number one for "medical news". It offers hourly news updates on 128 different medical areas, from Women's health to HIV/AIDS. Articles are generated and presented specially to be understandable by all readers, from doctors to patients/carers.

Medical News Today is owned by MediLexicon International Ltd. The business office for the site is located in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, UK and a second office is maintained in Mexico.
