Mechnica [mɛxˈnit͡sa] (German: Moosbruch) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gronowo Elbląskie, within Elbląg County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north of Gronowo Elbląskie, 7 km (4 mi) west of Elbląg, and 87 km (54 mi) north-west of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
