From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The McGill University Archives (MUA) performs integrated archival and records management for McGill University.[1] and is housed in the McLennan Library Building.

The MUA provides a number of searchable, online databases for researchers.[2] In addition, "A Guide to Archival Resources at McGill University" (1985) gives a broad overview of archival holdings at McGill University.[3] The McGill University Records Retention Schedule (MURRS) is also available online, and shows common records created during the daily operations of the University.[4]

The MUA was established in 1962, with Mr. Alan Ridge appointed as the first University Archivist.[5]
