McGee
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
McGee or MacGee is an English language surname of Irish origin. The Mac Gee were a chieftain clan of the Ulaidh or Irish Uluti tribe. The ever shrinking territory of the Ulaidh finally consisted of a sovereignty, which was known as Ulidia (kingdom) and which occupied a land area concurrent with that of just modern County Down and the southern portion of modern County Antrim in Northern Ireland. To their end as a nation in the late 12th century A.D., the Mac Gee occupied the Island Macgee therein.[1][2]
