Mayfield School is located on Pedley road in Redbridge, Greater London, despite its Dagenham address. The current headteacher is Andy Rehling.. Mayfield includes a Sixth Form Block and a Field and a new science block built in 2008. The school is a dual specialist Humanities College and Arts College.

There are 8 forms in each year group, from school years 7 to 11. There are around 30 pupils in each class. There are 8 form groups for the 6th form students, with 20 students or less in each form.

Facilities include school libraries, specialist Drama, Mathematics, Music and IT rooms, MFL department, Art rooms, Science Laboratories, and humanities such as; business, geography, history and R.S.
