Mayer A. DeRoy (1930-Sep 23, 1995) was a longtime Pittsburgh Police leader, who served as Pittsburgh Police Chief from May 17, 1990 -June 15, 1992. He was a 33 year Pittsburgh veteran when he took the oath of Chief. He later served as Chief of suburban Homestead. He died on September 23, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada while on vacation.[1]
