Maximiliano Nicolás Urruti Mussa (born 22 February 1991) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for the Portland Timbers in Major League Soccer.

Career

Urruti was part of the youth team at Newell's Old Boys in Rosario, Argentina until he was transferred to the senior squad in 2011.[1] Urruti did not see consistent first-team action for the club, particularly after the return of Ignacio Scocco. In late 2012 and early 2013, several clubs including: Palermo, Levante, Valencia, Helsingborgs IF, and Toronto expressed interest in the player.[2]

He was officially signed by Toronto FC on August 16, 2013.[3] He made his debut for the club the next day in a 2-0 away defeat to Columbus Crew, when he was a second half substitute for Robert Earnshaw.[4]

On September 9, 2013, Urruti was traded to the Portland Timbers for Bright Dike, a 2015 first round MLS Superdraft pick, and an International roster spot for the remainder of the 2013 season.[5]
