Maxime Lestienne (born 17 June 1992) is a Belgian footballer who plays as a winger for Club Brugge in the Belgian Pro League.

Career

Mouscron

As a youth product of Mouscron Lestienne made his debut at the highest level of Belgian football on 20 December 2008, in a 5–1 home victory against Club Brugge, as an 80th minute replacement for Asanda Sishuba.[1]

Club Brugge

After the bankruptcy of Mouscron Lestienne was able to make a free transfer. The English side Everton and Dutch side PSV Eindhoven were very interested to sign Lestienne.[2] Lestienne eventually signed a contract with Club Brugge on 6 January 2010.[3]

International career

Lestienne was called up to the Belgium national football team for the friendly against USA in May 2013, but didn't make his début. He has played 7 games for the Belgium U21 team, scoring 1 goal in a 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship qualification Group 9 game with Cyprus U21, scoring a penalty in the 53rd minute.[4]
