Max Domi

Max Domi (born March 2, 1995) is a Canadian ice hockey player of Albanian origin who was drafted 12th overall by the Phoenix Coyotes. Selected 8th overall in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection by the Kingston Frontenacs, he is currently playing with the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).^[1] He was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 1st round (12th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, but grew up in Toronto, Ontario.^[2] His father is former NHL player, Tie Domi.

Domi is rated as a top prospect who fulfilled the expectation to be a first round selection at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.^[3]

During the 2011-12 season he won a bronze medal with Team Ontario at the 2012 World U-17 Hockey Challenge,^[4] and helped his team capture the 2012 OHL Championship.

During the 2012-13 season he played with Team Canada to win a gold medal at the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament,^[5] was an invited participant at the 2013 CHL Top Prospects Game.^[6] and led his London Knights team to capture their second consecutive OHL Championship.^[7]^[8] Max was drafted by a team his dad, Tie Domi, played for (the Coyotes, when they still were the Winnipeg Jets).
