Maverik Lacrosse is a manufacturer of lacrosse equipment and apparel, based in New York City. The company was founded by professional lacrosse players John Gagliardi and Jay Jalbert in 2005.
Maverik continues to challenge the standard for lacrosse equipment and apparel. The Maverik team includes John Gagliardi (lacrosse), Kyle Sweeney, Drew Adams, Billy Bitter, Mike Springer, Johnny Christmas, JoJo Marasco, Peet Poillon, Chris Bocklet, Brian Karalunas, CJ Costabile, Chris Eck, Kip Turner, & Joe Cinosky.
Maverik's R&D Lab staffs over 90 technicians, designers and engineers and houses some of the most advanced machinery and equipment in the sports world. This allows Maverik to pair its unique player insight with the innovation and technology from some of the best minds in the industry. The result: high-performance gear that is pushing the player and the game forward.
Maverik designs and develops innovative lacrosse heads, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, and shafts. Some of their most popular products include their Rome line of gloves & protective, the Wonderboy, A1, & H2 shafts, and the all new Metrik head designed and manufactured in the USA.
On June 3 2010, it was announced that Maverik Lacrosse was acquired by Private Equity group Kohlberg & Co, for an undisclosed sum. Kohlberg & Co. is also the parent company of Bauer Sports.
