Maurizio Chiarini

Maurizio Chiarini (born 7 September 1950 in Ferrara, Italy), is an Italian businessman and Chairman of SUFER SpA.

Chiarini graduated in Political Sciences with a major in Economics at University of Bologna. He began his career as Director of the Economic and Social Research Centre of Ferrara.

From 1989 to 1995, he was Chairman of SUFER SpA, a company leader in the field of Renewable Energy Sector. From 1995 to 1999 he is Partner at SMAER, a management consultancy company as a charge of Public Administration and member of the Board of Directors. In 1999, he became the Managing Director of Agea SpA and on 28 April 2005 the Board of Directors of Hera Group appointed him CEO, a post he still holds.
