Match rifle

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Match Rifle is a shooting discipline normally shot over 1000, 1100 and 1200 yards using a .308 Winchester calibre rifle. Whilst shooters are permitted to shoot prone, as is normal in many rifle competitions, competitors are also permitted to shoot from the supine position, i.e. shooting whilst lying on one's back.
