Mastiff

A Mastiff is a breed of large dog. While many breeds include "Mastiff" in their names there is only one true Mastiff breed. Sometimes Mastiffs are referred to as English Mastiff and originated as a Roman war dog.

• American Mastiff, a breed of dog originating in the United States from a mix of Mastiff and Anatolian Shepherd

• Punjabi Mastiff, also known as the Bully Kutta, developed for bear and dog fighting, lately introduced outside of Pakistan, as a safeguard dog
