Mascalucia (Sicilian: Mascalucìa) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about 160 km southeast of Palermo and about 6 km north of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 26,068 and an area of 16.2 km².[1]
Mascalucia borders the following municipalities: Belpasso, Catania, Gravina di Catania, Nicolosi, Pedara, San Pietro Clarenza, Tremestieri Etneo.
