Mary Roscoe
Mary Roscoe is an actress, director, theatre producer. who was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. She emigrated to the UK to train at Rose Bruford College.
Most recently she has appeared in the highly acclaimed film Unrelated by Joanna Hogg. Her TV work includes The Thieving Headmistress with Pauline Quirk, appearances as an archeologist and a farmer's wife on Chucklevision, and a minor role in one episode of Powers.[1] She has also appeared in a Typhoo advert.
On stage she has appeared in productions such as Measure For Measure at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park and Blithe Spirit at the Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch.
In 2000 she formed Roscoe Productions - their inaugural production Hell Is Other People premiered that year at the Red Pear Theatre in Antibes. She is on the creative panel of the Tristan Bates Theatre and on the board of directors for Look Theatre.

Mary Roscoe was born in Harare, Zimbabwe on 12 June 1959. She came to train as an actress at the Rose Bruford College, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Theatre Arts in 1980. She began her acting career with the celebrated Dog Company, working with acclaimed writer & film maker Clive Barker, and actors Oliver Parker (now film director) and Doug Bradley (Pinhead in Hellraiser). She then began extensive work in Rep, playing amongst many roles, Anne Frank at Theatre Royal Northampton, Belinda in Seasons Greetings at Stoke, Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit at Hornchurch, before moving back to London with Mike Alfreds' company. She received huge accolades for her performance as Olive Oyl in Popeye with the David Glass Ensemble which toured America, Canada, and London's West End and South Bank. Film work includes Mike Leigh's Topsy Turvey, Joanna Hogg's acclaimed film Unrelated in which she played the mother Verena, a factory worker in Tom Hooper's Les Misérables and Mike Figgis' new film Suspension of Disbelief playing Dominic's mother. She played Hannah the maid in Great Expectations for BBC1 opposite Gillian Anderson's Miss Havisham.
