Mary Elise Hayden (born April 18, 1985) is an American actress born in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is best known for her role as Pippa Middleton in the 2011 Lifetime TV movie William & Kate.
Hayden was born at Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach, FL. Her mother was a college professor, her father a banker. She studied at the Young Actors Theater in Tallahassee, Florida, for seven years and attended the Middle School of the Arts in North Palm Beach, Florida, and, in West Palm Beach, Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, where she majored in voice and theater. After graduating, she attended the New York Film Academy studying all aspects of film production before moving to Los Angeles.[1]
Hayden has made many lead and supporting appearances in major theatrical releases, independent films and music videos. She also sings and plays mandolin and keyboard, occasionally substituting in Adrian Grenier's band The Honey Brothers.[2]
Critical reviews and awards
Hayden's film Kathy T (Hayden title lead) won Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film in 2007. In 2009, We Are the Mods (Hayden lead) won Audience Choice Award, Screenwriting Award and Sound Track Award.[3]
She has been described as "a force of nature" by Hollywood entertainment magazine Variety.[4]
