Marumori (丸森町 Marumori-machi) is a town located in Igu District, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 17,139 and a population density of 62.70 persons per km². The total area is 273.34 km². Marumori means "circle forest" in Japanese and the town is made up of farmland surrounded by a circular portion of heavily forested mountain range. It takes about one hour by train to go from Marumori to Sendai, the largest city in the Tōhoku region of Japan.
