Maru Pradesh

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maru Pradesh (मरू प्रदेश) is a proposed desert state in North West India, carving out from the state of Rajasthan.[1] The proposed state consists of Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jhunjhunu, Osiyan (Tehsil of Jodhpur), Nagaur and Sikar. However, there is not much interest shown by the locals of these areas in support of such a state. Because of this it is almost a dead demand with almost no takers.
