Marshall Jay Kaplan (born July 24, 1965), is a Gemini Award nominated television producer and syndicated cartoonist, and television host. He is best known for his international board game, Who Zat, his syndicated column, Where Are They Now?, and the show on TVTropolis, Totally Tracked Down.[1]

Early life, family and education

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Marshall was an art student in high school, but attended the University of Toronto where he graduated with a double degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry. Although he graduated with good marks, it was Marshall’s love of cartoons and celebrities that made him follow is heart and make a career out of his passion.

He has three children: Ben, Josh, and Rachel.

Career

Marshall is known as the "cartoonist to the stars", as he has drawn no less than 10,000 celebrities for them. Most recent drawings were for Jon Hamm of Mad Men, Bradley Cooper of The Hangover, Kim Kardashian, the cast of Glee and Sofia Vergara of Modern Family.

Three years after its debut, Kaplan's `Where are they now?' column is carried by some 60 newspapers in the United States and Canada and read by almost 5 million North Americans. While the closest to home he is published is Windsor, Ontario, his column can be found in publications as far away as in Connecticut, Pittsburgh and Montana. Even radio stations have begun to take an interest in Kaplan's informative and entertaining look at celebrities from days past. Marshall currently can be heard on dishes entertainment news and gossip on Rock95.

While publishing his column, Marshall became a producer of the globally syndicated television show Style By Jury, producing a total of 70 episodes. Marshall then starred in Totally Tracked Down, a television show based on his column Where Are They Now, in which he literally tracks down television's most memorable icons. Marshall was an Executive Producer and a Creator of the show. The show aired on TVtropolis. Marshall is also the Series Producer for the hit game show Instant Cash, for TVtropolis, a Producer for the reality show Brides of Beverly Hills for Slice Network the comedic property show, My House Your Money on The W Network, the hidden camera competition show, Giving You The Business on The Food Network and most recent was the Series Producer for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's new reality show.
