Marnate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 30 km northwest of Milan and about 20 km south of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,237 and an area of 4.8 km².[1]

The municipality of Marnate contains the frazione (subdivision) Nizzolina.

Marnate borders the following municipalities: Castellanza, Gorla Minore, Olgiate Olona, Rescaldina.
