Marko Kristal (born 2 June 1973 in Tallinn) is a former football midfielder with an outstanding career for the Estonian national team.
Club career
He has mostly played for FC Flora Tallinn in his homecountry, although he has had spells with IF Elfsborg and FC Lahti.
International career
Between 1992 and 2005 he was capped 143 times and scored 9 goals. He earned his first official cap as a substitute on 3 June 1992, when Estonia played Slovenia in a friendly match. In 2001, Marko Kristal became the youngest ever European to appear in 100 international matches. On 20 April 2005 he ended his international career with a substitution in a match against Norway.[1]
