Mark R. Christensen (born July 1, 1962 in Holdrege, Nebraska) is a Nebraska state senator from Imperial, Nebraska, United States, in the Nebraska Legislature.

Personal life

He was born on July 1, 1962, in Holdrege, Nebraska and graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1980. He then earned a BS in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1984. He is married and has seven children. He is a commodities broker and land manager.[1]

State legislature

He was elected in 2006 to represent the 44th Nebraska legislative district, which consists of Perkins County, Chase County, Dundy County, Hayes County, Hitchcock County, Red Willow County, Frontier County, Furnas County and a portion of Dawson County. Major communities in the district include McCook, Imperial, Grant and Benkelman. He currently sits on the Banking, Commerce, and Insurance committee; the Judiciary committee; and the Executive Board of the Legislative Council in the Legislature.
