Mark Alan Kumpel (born March 7, 1961 in Wakefield, Massachusetts) is a former American ice hockey player.

Selected by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft, Kumpel also played for the Detroit Red Wings and Winnipeg Jets.

After his retirement as a player Kumpel coached, including a tenure as coach/assistant coach with the Portland Pirates from 1998 to 2004. Kumpel is the Head Coach of the Walpole Express Junior A hockey team of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League.
