Mark Du Plessis

Mark Du Plessis (born 1 Sep 1961 in Zimbabwean, New Zealand) is a horse racing jockey. He was champion apprentice jockey in Zimbabwe in 1994/1995 and the winner of Zimbabwe senior jockeys' championship in 1997/1998. He has ridden winners of five G1s in New Zealand and more than 800 winners overall. He has ridden six winners in each of the last two seasons during brief stints in Hong Kong.
