Mark Dominik (born March 9, 1971) is a former general manager who worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL) from 2009 to 2013. Dominik succeeded Bruce Allen as general manager on January 17, 2009.[1]

Dominik joined the Buccaneers staff in June 1995 as a pro personnel assistant. He served in that capacity through the 1997 season, before assuming the title of pro scout in 1998 and coordinator of pro personnel in 2000. Prior to the start of the 2001 season, Dominik began the first of his eight years as Tampa Bay's Director of Pro Personnel. In 2002, Dominik was in the organization when Jon Gruden guided the Buccaneers to their first world championship, in their Super Bowl XXXVII victory over the Oakland Raiders.

As Director of Pro Personnel, Dominik's duties included overseeing the scouting, recruiting and signing efforts of all NFL players, while also monitoring NFL transactions and overseeing player tryouts. He was also in charge of the pro personnel department's evaluation of players in all other professional football leagues, including the Canadian Football League and the Arena Football League, while being responsible for the negotiation and signing of contracts for several free agents and NFL Draft signings.

One of Dominik's more notable signings happened when he re-signed the Buccaneers 2004 first round draft choice, Michael Clayton, to a 5-year, $25 million contract in early 2009. Clayton was cut by the Bucs after the 2009 season and only caught two more passes in the NFL afterwards. He has been out of football since 2011.

In Dominik's tenure as GM, the Buccaneers went 28-52 with only one winning season and no playoff appearances. On December 30, 2013, Dominik was fired along with head coach Greg Schiano following a 4-12 season.[2]

Born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Dominik joined Tampa Bay after spending a year and a half working in both the college and pro personnel departments of the Kansas City Chiefs. Dominik holds a bachelor of science degree in sports management from the University of Kansas. At Kansas he was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity.

Dominik and his wife, Amy, currently live in Tampa, Florida with their young children, Davis, Emerson and Avery.
