Mark Adams is an English professional mixed martial artist who competes in the featherweight division. A professional MMA competitor since 2008, Adams has mostly fought in England, winning the BAMMA Featherweight title.

Background

Adams trains with the quickly growing Team Kaobon training camp.[1] Adams compiled a 10-0-1 record as an amateur before turning professional.[2]

After leaving school, Adams joined the Parachute Regiment where he served for 5 years. After expressing an interest in Mixed Martial Arts, Adams joined the South Coast Submissions MMA Gym. Adams would later join Wolfslair MMA Academy, but would later leave as part of the mass exodus[3] that included Paul Kelly and Martin Stapleton, all of whom joined Team Kaobon.[2]

Mixed martial arts career

After going 4-0, Adams faced Simon Gill at Ultimate Challenge MMA. Adams defeated Gill via guillotine choke in the second round.[4]

Adams then joined BAMMA and faced the new featherweight champion Alan Omer for the title. After five rounds, Adams was declared the winner via unanimous decision and became the new BAMMA Featherweight champion.[5]

Adams' first defence was scheduled to be against Robbie Olivier at BAMMA 5[6] However, due to snowstorms in the UK the event was cancelled.
