Maritime Air Charter Limited is an on-demand aircraft charter company based at the Halifax International Airport in Enfield and Halifax Regional Municipality, Canada.[1][2][3] It operates passenger and cargo services, and is the contracted fixed wing service provider for Sable Island.

History

Maritime Air Charter Limited began operations in 1996 with a Piper Navajo. In 2000 they acquired a second Navajo, followed by a third in 2001. In response to customer requests for a pressurized turbine aircraft, the company purchased a Beechcraft A100 King Air in 2003 and retired one of its Navajos. In 2006, Maritime Air Charter acquired a Britten-Norman Islander, and was awarded the contract for fixed-wing services to Sable Island.
