Mario Božić (Serbian Cyrillic: Марио Божић; born 25 May 1983) is a Bosnian Serb football midfielder who currently plays for FK Voždovac in the Serbian SuperLiga.
Football career
Mario started playing in Serbian lower league clubs FK Loznica, FK Radnički Stobex from Klupci and FK Milicionar Beograd. In 2004, he moved to Hungary. He signed a new contract with FC Fehérvár in March 2007, last until 30 June 2008. In the summer of 2011, Božić left Slovan Bratislava for Israeli side F.C. Ashdod.[1] He completed a move to Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua on 20 February 2012.[2] In July 2012, Božić left Shanghai Shenhua due to Chinese Super League teams being restricted to 4 foreign players from outside of Asian, and the clubs recent addition of Didier Drogba and Giovanni Moreno.[3] In August 2012, Božić joined Azerbaijani Premier League team Simurq PFC.[4] Bozic left Simurq at the end of the season and went on to sign for Greek Football League side Panachaiki.[5][6]
International career
He received first call up from Bosnia and Herzegovina against Norway, March 2007, the first match of coach Fuad Muzurović.
He made his debut on 8 September 2007 against Hungary.[7]
