Marian B. Tasco is a Democratic Councilwoman representing the Ninth District on the City Council of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She currently serves as the Council's Majority Leader.[1]

Political career

City Council tenure

She was elected to the seat in 1987, defeating two other challengers in the Democratic primary, after incumbent Democratic Councilman John White resigned from Council that January.[2]

Ward leader

Tasco is the Ward Leader of the 50th Ward Democratic Executive Committee.[3]
