Maria Chiara Carrozza

Maria Chiara Carrozza (born 16 September 1965)[1] is an Italian engineer and politician. She has been minister of education, universities and research since 28 April 2013.[2]

Biography

Maria Chiara Carrozza was born in Pisa, Tuscany. She studied physics at the University of Pisa, and she graduated in 1990. She holds a PhD in engineering from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. She is a full professor of industrial bioengineering and she became a university professor at the Marconi University in 2006.

She was the dean of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna from 2007 to 2013,[1][3]
