Marcus Bettinelli (born 24 May 1992) is an English football player who plays as a goalkeeper for League Two side Accrington Stanley on loan from Fulham .

Career

Fulham

Bettinelli joined Fulham in 2011 as part of the U21 youth team. In October 2012, he joined Dartford on loan, where he made 35 league appearances for the club before returning in March 2013.

On 28 August 2013, Bettinelli joined Accrington Stanley on a one-month loan deal.[2]

He made his debut the same day in the League Cup against Cardiff City [2] and his Football League debut on 31 August 2013, in a 1–0 home defeat to Burton Albion[3]

Fulham confirmed on 2 September 2013, that Bettinelli would stay with Accrington Stanley for the full 2013–14 season,[4] but he was recalled on 26 December 2013[5] and was named as a substitute in Fulham's 2–1 league win over Norwich City as cover for David Stockdale.[6] On 2 January 2014, he rejoined Accrington Stanley on loan until 30 January 2014.[7]

Bettinelli agreed a two year extension to his contract on 10 January 2014, which will keep him at Fulham until June 2016.[8]

Personal life

He is the son of Fulham Academy goalkeeping coach Vic Bettinelli.[11]
