Marco Chiosa (born 6 October 1993 in Ciriè, Italy) is an Italian central defender who plays for Serie B club A.S. Bari, on loan from Torino.

Club career

Early career

Marco was born in the small town of Ciriè just outside the city of Turin before joining local football club Torino.[1] He played for the youth team, competing in the Allievi Nazionali (U-16) during the 2009–2010 season and the Campionato Primavera (U-17) between 2010–2012.[2] Between 2011 and 2012 he made two appearances on the bench for first team, but never played.[3][4]

For the 2012-13 season he was loaned to Lega Pro side Nocerina where he had a good season, making 27 appearances and even scoring his first goal.[5] That season, Nocerina managed to reach the play-offs, but lost across both legs of the quarter-finals to Latina Calcio. At the end of the season he returned to Torino, before being sent on loan at Bari of Serie B for the duration of the 2013–2014 season.[6][7]

International career

He has earned caps for Italy at the U-19 and U-20 levels.[8] On 10 January 2014, he was called up to the U-21 side by Luigi Di Biagio.[9]
